Fresh Strawberry Shortcake Dessert Recipe for One Person


1/2 c plus 2 tsp Bisquick Mix 
1 tsp sugar 
1 tbs butter 
4 tsp water 
2 tsp milk powder 

3/4 c sliced strawberries 
dash of sugar 
whipped cream

Preheat oven to 420F (about 220 C.) Combine the Bisquick, sugar, butter, water and milk powder and knead together thoroughly to form a sticky dough. Form it into a patty and bake on an ungreased baking sheet (silicone is best) for 10 to 13 minutes, till top is golden brown.

In the meantime, evenly sprinkle the strawberries with a dash of sugar.

When done, split the warm shortcake, and fill with the strawberries and with whipped cream. Serve immediately.

This is a nice sort of shortcake if you don't like them too sweet, and it goes nicely with good quality fresh strawberries. A warm scone can probably double in place of the homemade shortcake, to save time.
