Red Velvet Mug Cake Recipe - One Serving Microwave Dessert

Unlike many recipes for so-called mug cakes, this one actually fits in a normal sized mug! The specially made frosting helps add to the taste of a classic red velvet cake.

For the frosting:
4 tsp Karo syrup
2 tbs cream cheese

For the cake:
2 tbs chocolate chips
1/2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
2 tbs sugar
2 tbs sour cream
1 egg white
1/2 tsp red food color
1 tsp vanilla

Place the butter and chocolate chips in a mug. Microwave for 30 seconds, or till chocolate is fully melted. Stir the chocolate/butter mixture to combine.
Add the flour, sugar, sour cream, egg white, food color and vanilla. Stir everything together quickly and thoroughly,
Put the mug back into the microwave and cook for 2 minutes. When done, allow it to sit undisturbed for 5 minutes.
While you let the cake rest, mix together the frosting. When the cake is set, top it with the frosting mixture.
