Spicy Pumpkin Soup
1/2 tbs butter
1 tbs flour
1 1/4 c milk
4 tbs unsweetened pumpkin puree
1/2 tbs sriracha sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp curry powder
2 dashes black pepper
2 dashes nutmeg
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp garlic paste or powder
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and whisk together with the flour. When it is lumped together and bubbling, pour in the milk all at once and whisk together rapidly to prevent lumps. Add the remaining ingredients and cook, stirring, until mixture is hot and thickened.
